Just took my latest kombucha scoby from the 3D drying stand.

I dried it with the upper (the dry) side outward and this surface evolved to a nice whitish, felt-like finish, while the side touching the mould retained the brown colour and was quite transparent.

Gently flipped it over to have the white at the inside and further dried it.
